Overview

We will start from the Centre of Hoi An for a warm-up cycle passing local rice fields and villages along the way. Stop by a local market to buy some fruit for our dessert that we are sure you never heard of.

Continue the trip with a ride on a traditional basket boat into the water coconut forest before we finally arrive at the farm. We then proceed to organic farming with our local farmers. We are happily sharing with you the story about this community-based project and invite you to join in their daily work, such as applying organic manure, making organic pesticides to control and prevent pests, and cultivating the soil for planting and watering.

On completion of the gardening, you will return to the farmer’s house and use the produce harvested from the organic vegetable garden to cook a Vietnamese lunch. Enjoy lunch with the dishes you’ve cooked at a garden-setting table.

The cooking class was great and we could specify our vegetarian preference.Minh provided great insight into all aspects - from local life in Hoi An to the details around farming - and has a good sense of humour!

unbelievable experience that had exceeded my expectations. tour brings you through rice fields, bamboo boat along the river which is the perfect amount of time, organic farm and harvesting plus cooking amazing Vietnamese dishes and to finish off eating what you have cooked. Perfect amount of food, I was sure I will come out of there hungry but did not. My tour guide Vinh was very informative with great English. had a great chat and gave me plenty of good advice on places to visit and go to in Hoi An and rest of Vietnam. Amazing tour that I would recommend 100% to everyone that likes to be active.

This was a wonderful experience, far above and beyond my expectations. Get out of the busyness of Hoi An to the countryside and spend it with some true locals. Our host was simply wonderful, very fun, and took quite a few videos for us. She also had a great relationship with the local farmer and cooking school instructor who didn’t speak English and translated for us.The food was great, the ride in the boat and the bike was super fun, and we loved the people. Super fun, very varied day. Highly recommend!

Minh is an excellent tour guide. He has invested his time and energy in building and supporting local sustainable farming communities. He has a strong passion for promoting organic farming practices and is the focus of this tour. Minh adapted the tour to our gluten intolerance dietary requirement. The tour was well planned and all the activities were engaging. The group was small enough to enjoy a more personal experience.

Absolutely loved the tour, one of my favorites we did so far over the last 3 months. It was supposed to be a small group but we were lucky to have the whole morning tour just 2 of us and the tour guide so it felt even more special. The food we cooked was absolutely delicious and it was a really fun experience meeting the locals. We went to the local markets and we learned about the different fruits there and chose some for our desert. But the best part about this is that it was away from all crowds. There was bearly any tourists on the farm and even the basket boat ride it was only us on the river. Really peaceful and authentic experience. Don’t even hesitate to book this tour. 100% worth it.
