What to Expect
Step back in time and explore one of Vietnam’s most legendary underground networks on a comfortable half-day journey from Ho Chi Minh City.
Situated roughly 70 km northwest of Saigon, the Cu Chi Tunnels served as a crucial underground base during the Vietnam War. Stretching all the way to the Cambodian border, this intricate 250-kilometer network once housed living quarters, meeting rooms, kitchens, storage bunkers, and field hospitals.
Travel in the comfort of a modern, air-conditioned minivan with a small group and an expert English-speaking guide. Gain deep historical insights into the resourcefulness and resilience of the local fighters who built and lived in these subterranean cities.

We pick up guests at several hotels; your hotel might be the first, so please be ready by 08:00 am (or 12:30 pm), and we will come to your door as soon as we can.

Step by Step Itinerary

We start by picking up guests from several hotels. Please be ready by 08:00 a.m. or 01:00 p.m. as your hotel might be the first stop.
08:30 – 10:15 / 13:00 – 14:30
Leave behind the vibrant bustle of Sài Gòn and journey to the historic Củ Chi Tunnels. We’ll make a brief stop at a local lacquerware factory to freshen up and use the restroom.
10:15 – 10:30 / 14:30 – 14:45
Arrive at the remarkable Củ Chi Tunnels and immerse yourself in a captivating historical experience. Spend approximately 1.5 to 2 hours exploring this site, where you’ll engage in various activities and gain insights into the Việt Nam War from a Vietnamese perspective.
10:30 – 10:45 / 14:45 – 15:00

Explore various underground bunkers, including kitchens, meeting rooms, and ammunition storage. Visit weapon and booby trap exhibitions during your tour.

For the adventurous, navigate the authentic VC tunnels with options of 20m, 60m, or 100m, offering a glimpse into the challenging conditions faced by soldiers.
11:30 – 12:00 / 15:45 – 16:15
Experience history at the shooting range, where you can choose to fire AK47s and M16s. Note that the cost of bullets is not included in the tour.
12:00 – 12:15 / 16:15 – 16:30
Enjoy local tea and tapioca, the sustenance that sustained VC fighters during the war, and appreciate their role in the daily lives of those in conflict.
12:15 – 14:00 / 16:30 – 18:30
After exploring the rich history of the Củ Chi Tunnels, we journey back to Hồ Chí Minh City. Upon returning, we’ll drop you back at the pick-up point or somewhere in District 1 as per your request.
