Community Commitment: Creating Impact in Hoi An

With the desire to be a socially responsible enterprise, Momo Travel always sets its values and goals so that we can contribute a small part of our capacity to make Hoi An a more peaceful place and to contribute to making tourism in Hoi An more sustainable and of higher quality.
Over the course of the past years, Momo Travel has forged a meaningful partnership with Thanh Dong Organic Farm, working collaboratively to develop and implement a sustainable Farm Tour program.
Recognizing the importance of modern technology in enhancing accessibility and efficiency, Momo Travel has made a significant contribution of 9 million VND (365 USD) towards the establishment of a dedicated website for the farm. This contribution has not only facilitated the construction of the website but has also enabled improvements in its speed and functionality. As a result, farmers are now equipped with the tools necessary to seamlessly accept bookings and administer Cooking Classes and Basket Boat tours directly through the website.
By investing in the digital infrastructure of Thanh Dong Organic Farm, Momo Travel is not only promoting sustainable tourism practices but is also empowering local farmers to diversify their income streams and thrive in today’s digital landscape. This initiative underscores Momo Travel’s unwavering commitment to fostering positive change within the community of Hoi An, ensuring that the benefits of tourism are felt by all stakeholders.
We have allocated an additional 4.5 million VND (162 USD) to a program called University without Walls, initiated by the Action Center for City Development (ACCD), a local NGO.
Since 2014, ACCD has organized courses for local youth, aiming to collectively nurture potential talents that will create positive value in future society. Huy, Momo’s founder, was once a student who attended these courses during his university years in 2016. This experience helped him realize the importance of sustainable development, a principle he now applies to Momo Travel’s business objectives.
We hope that this modest contribution will support the program in nurturing future talents for a better community.
